A Million Days, wow, I love it, easily one of my favorites of the 00s. One of his best pop/rock tunes...

it has that spark of greatness that his work after TGE sorely lacked...

Cinnamon Girl is probably his most underrated song of the 00s, or even his entire career...

Agree, I also love Musicology, What do U want me 2 do and...in fact the first 2/3 from the album (including Life O'the party,Yes!!) is great, except Cinnamon Girl.

And I really don't like If eye was.../Marrying kind....Prince rock-light ill

Just my opinion and personal taste wink

I hated the production on Musicology, to be honest. Most of the songs come off like rough demos.

thankfully. compare it to Emancipation, Rave and 3121, and it's refreshing to hear something that isn't bogged down by its own slick over-production.

Sure, but the production on Lotus is infinitely better.

Hmmm.

Due to this thread I wanted to see the video on youtube again, but it seems to have gotten removed. I really don't see the point in this bullshit. It's a decent-looking video and people should be able to watch it, is he still planning to bank on it ten years later or something?

Eh, maybe... but Lotus is clip-central.

One of my favs. I love the "rough" sound as it reminds me of the Purple Rain warehouse recordings. cool

Huh? There's a video to Cinnamon Girl? The most that song deserves is Prince shaking his head while holding a cardboard sign that reads "I'm really sorry."

The UK version of the Cinnamon Girl cd single has a live video of Dr Mr Man.

The NPGMC version of the CG cd single has the video for CG, and also a 5min "making of" video.

The NPGMC version can still be found on ebay from time to time.

Yes, I remember seeing it.. I thought I saw it on Vh1 or something like that. There is a girl who looked either Arab or Indian. The scenario is she is recruited to be a suicide bomber because she is tired of being harrassed for being a Middle Eastern immigrant. She straps the bomb to her chest and look in the mirror. But she decides against going through the bombing. Her parents are immigrants and have no idea that their teen is comptemplating doing this. Nice Prince video. You can tell it had a storyline and real ACTORS to play the roles.

'A Million Days' is my favorite Prince song since D&P era.

D&P = Diamonds and Pearls? IF so, wrong "era" in every way possible.
