On the Org? DO we know who has the most CD's or biggest collections of Prince stuff in general?

Probably the people on here that have 10 different "remasters" of the same bootleg.

That's easy. Prince.

Hard to say. There's fans who don't post in forums, and people who might have put all their memorabilia in storage.

Anyone willing to post pics of their collections? I know it's been done before, but I'm keen to see an up to date version!

The biggest and most important a collection is, the less likely the owner posts on such a place.

I used to have quite a bit of Prince shit.....about 200 pressed bootlegs, magazines like crazy, books, useless trinkets, etc. But as time went I got rid of most of the boots (because they sounded like shit anyway), threw the magazines away or just clipped the relevant articles out, etc. The only thing I actually cherish is a blue 3-ring binder that I wrote the titles of EVERY known Prince song (at that time) on. It has my Prince Family newsletters in it.

I have all the offical album releases except the hits collections/compilations other than The Hits Collection. I have the NPG and The Time, and quite a few live shows and boots.

My ITunes has some 2300 Prince tracks not including NPG and The Time. I don't have another complete collection of side projects. other than NPG and The Time.

I have my first three scrapbooks from 79-90's but the fourth is incomplete. Still have most of my concert stubs. Dumped the posters . . . Still have a collection of t-shirts.

Up until 2005, I would have given anyone a run for their money.

But upon arrival of my twins, I cleared out three rooms full of stuff. I made about £20,000 in the process and it was quite liberating. I had been building the collection for over 20 years and it felt great to letitgo.

All that remains now are the CDs, some gold discs and a few personal items I got from Prince. What remains is the music. Everything else is noise.

To judge someones collection, I always say start with For You album. If they can't show you at least 12 versions and a press kit, don't bother looking at the rest!

This is why I don't get collectors. Why do you have 12 different versions of the same thing?

But there are all slightly different...

The Jap LP Vinyl looked and played better.

Collectors look for every variation. Thats the nature of the beast.

Certainly not me anymore! All the stuff was bought up, so there must be some big collections out there.
