Strays of the world, Yay or Nay I really love this song, its got a beautiful melody and a nice orchestral backing sound, and really sounds like the better stuff of Symbol/Come (It dates from 92/93 apparently). But I know a lot of people don't like it, as they consider it self indulgent or can't get past the fact it was written for (Shock horror) Glam Slam Ulysses - the ballet which involved one guy dodging rocks with a giant Lovesymbol. But I really like it and think its a better moment in his patchy period of the mid 90s. So what do u say, Yay or nay Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I don't like it, sorry. I don't like other artists pretending to be Queen.

I like the corus and the music arrangement in the chorus portion. In all however it seems like he was doing too much with this one. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Absolutely love it...so, a big YAY from me. I know it is reminiscent of Queen, I know it does sound a tad bombastic, and yes the lyrics may be a bit too cheesy for some people, but I love the music, and I love the uplifting, yet sad and melancholic lyrics and the build up. It´s one of those songs that makes you wonder what the original version sounded like, without any band input. Morris Hayes once mentioned how much he liked this song when he first heard Prince´s demo version that Prince had recorded (in Paris?). I would love to hear that. This should have stayed on the Come album becasue it fits perfectly into that whole Come concept and idea, and it is too bad that it ended up on an album like Crytal Ball, without any context or concept whatsoever. It would have been a perfect ending for the Come album, like a climax or epilogue of that album. The album sounds rather sketchy when you know this song was supposed to be the last song on that album.
Great song.Great music. Especially good when you listen to it on your own, volume cranked up, while driving in your car with decent loudspeakers, shortly before dawn, on a mixed CDR with stuff like Into The Light/I will and other melodic and uplifting songs. Totally underrated gem. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

A BIG yay from me. A bit over the top, but his delivery is sincere, passionate and pleading.

Everytime I hear that song I think of having to download the bootleg, pre-Crystal Ball version over 28k dial-up internet, only to have to combine the different parts together and have ONE song take up an entire floppy disk! Those were the days!

It has definite personality. I rather enjoy it, in private, with no one else around. "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..."

Thius is great, and yeah I really love Queen too, Freddie Mercury was the showman. Shame he died, because the new queen with Paul whatisface just are not like the Queen with Freddie in charge. I also think 3 chains of gold has a Queen feel to it. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Nay. Mostly forgettable except that it is mostly just silly and over reaching. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. Not his best but I like it. It has a good message and a pretty melody. When I listen to CB disc 2 I never turn it off when it gets to this song.
