Teacher, Teacher, yay or nay? I say slight nay, because is sounds unfinished. This is weak for that peak period with the Revolution.
It just doesn't go anywhere. I will say it sounds different than what he was writing at the time. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Catchy and cute. I really like the vocals from the girls on it as well. YAY!!! When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

It's OK. I think there are similar songs where that sound/feeling was done more successfully.

The last 15 seconds or so of this song are beyond funky. Ultra-, mega-, uber-funky. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

It's one of my favorite songs from that era. I've always wondered why it wasn't selected for the final configuration of the "Dream Factory" album.

Yay! I think it's an excellent song.
I think 1985-86 is the peak Prince period regarding pop music, when he made his best 3-4 minutes classic pop songs, like Raspberry Beret, Pop Life, Paisley Park, Desire, Last Heart, and, why not, Teacher, Teacher, a catchy and superb tune.

pure throwaway trcak, would have been an average B-Side - good choice not to release it!!!

big fat YAY from me. love the unfinished, slightly gritty demo sound of it.

I think you kinda just proved the point. Teacher, Teacher is one of many songs with the same vibe. Meh.

LOL indeed! I was thinking of the ending of Neon Telephone too! Damn, I need to listen to some of those old unreleased songs again ... it has clearly been far too long.
("Good Gawd!") No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Hmmm it's ok. Maybe in better quality it would sound better. Kind of catchy chorus. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -
