The Final Cut is in my top five albums of all time

The Final Cut is a great album... a tad heavy but brilliant stuff. I didn't like the stuff they did after Waters left.

Kind of on subject- I had read in some random Pink Floyd book ( I am a big Pink Floyd fan, every thing before Waters left ) that Gilmore thought the Lovesexy album cover was genius.

Mr. Gilmour is quite generous in his complements for Prince, nothing but good things to say. How about David Gilmour doing "Sometimes it Snows in April"?

That would be great! However I still think the perfect guy to do this song would be Willie Nelson.

BTW I wouldn't be surprised if Dave Gilmour liked Prince - the vocal-style phasing of Dave's lead guitar style is not a million miles away from Prince's sound and I'd say they have respect for each other's guitar skills...

Gilmour IS a Prince fan - has lots of respect for him.

The Floyd are genius - sorry that 2(!!) people on here don't get that wink

Have a Cigar or Welcome to the Machine would be perfect tracks for Prince to perform - the ideologies being very close to Prince's heart.

And BTW, I though Prince's version of Whole Lotta Love was incredible!! Starbass - what were you hearing, man? I love Led Zep and thought no-one would be able to cover their stuff, but the little man actually improved it, in my opinion. It was so trippy, so sexy, so electric - Page and Plant would have been in tears had they been there.
...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...
