Mods... if you see me getting stoned here, please delete this topic and e-mail me some definitive on Prince remasters. I performed a search but found nothing concrete.

I need to purchase 1999 & Dirty Mind but it would be my luck that remastered versions are released this Friday Was all this talk of Prince meeting with Warners for distribution of 20eleven or is he to get the "royal" (pun) remastered treatment that his early works so deserve? He himself once said in an interview, Keyboard 1999 I believe, something to the tune of he/ they were too busy partying in the early days to much care about achieving the best sound quality. This is when he was talking up his mix engineer for the Emancipation era.

Any help?

3rd eye shows me a 1978 to 1988 box set with pics & loads of extras.

Would make more sense in this digital age as it would be something to collect & treasure.

I know nothing of remastered versions of Dirty Mind and 1999.

Outside of the fan remasters that is.

Nothing official, in the way of remasters of any kind have been released or been announced.

One day I will fully be able to enjoy Little Red Corvette.

Anyway, I had to go to MY vault and pull out the vinyls... also grabbed Controversy. A bit surprised as I forgot I have TRC on vinyl.
But this... this is a night for the holy trinity of Dirty Mind, Controversy & 1999
