'I Wonder' appreciation

Just heard this 'The Work' track, and I was wondering why it doesn't get alot of attention disbelief

Such a contagious melody and indeniable groove.

As soon as Prince started singing - I was taken back. His vocals sound exceptional love

It's too bad summer's now over in NZ, would be so perfect for chilling in the sun and drinking corona + lime!

I've been listening to both I wonder and Get Blue for the past several days and both are amazing songs that are certainly among his best unreleased stuff. Only Prince can write and record songs of this caliber and not release them. lol

Love love love this tune. It is so melodic and his voice is great. It's simple and doesnt need anything else.

A gust of southern wind

Came and took my girl away from me

Now my tears can fill and ocean

My tears can fill a sea

I wonder..

Yes, ironically even the unfinished sound of it makes for its perfection.

Naturally addictive this sound. Slow funky beat just a happy tune.

I like it. A nice example of what you can do with a simple blues progression.

Another fine example of simplistic but effective writing in the 80s. See also It, most of Parade, and Around the World in a Day.

Took me years to like It...and even to this day I dont rush to play it. The music is awesome, but repetitive...and the lyrics are basic and a-b-c Prince..kinda like "Sex" and "Let's Work"
