the guitar work may just be a few brief notes but the INTERESTING thing about BRIEF notes is for some reason...

The coolest thing about Forever In My Life to me is how the vocals are arranged. Prince essentially has the background vocals singing lead, and the lead vocals singing background. It has sort of a a "foreshadowing" affect. It's simple, but different and original.

The fade out at the end of the song always makes me believe that an extended version of "FIML" exists in P's vault. Wish 2 hear it!

This was done by mistake, but Prince loved the result so much he kept it.
