I have got all of Prince's albums, some of them I have as many as six versions. I also own as many singles that I have been able to get my hands on. I have put all of the above on to my MP3 player. Is this legal.

I have refrained from buying bootlegs over the past few years because it is something that Prince obviously feels very strongly about. Do you think he would be pissed at my copying his material. If he is I won't delete them, I just wondered if anything had ever been said by the Purple One about copying his stuff.

Copying is NOT illegal, selling or distributing them to others is. There is no law against individuals who duplicate media for personal use.
