I have been a fan for a while now and the more I delve into his music, live concert footage,

interviews, etc. the more I love him as an artist. Without a doubt, no matter what happens in

my life, Prince has a special place in my muscial heart along with other artists that I wil refrain

from mentioning. Part of what I theorize to be one of Prince's greatest assets when it comes to

being the musical genius that others and possibly himself profess to be is his reserve, sensitive

nature. I am not professing that he is an Angel, nor am I making him out to be the Devil as a lot

of fans on this message board seem to derive some sort of delight out of! Everbody wants to be

a matyr! Prince's sensitivity acts almost like a mirror projecting back at us the very dichotomies,

the opposing forces within ourselves thats why some of us like to antagonize and belittle some of

the past, present, and future mistakes that he has made because we see a lot of ourselves in Prince!

"We want Prince to be a mirror for our projections, but he comes a little like Dorian Gray, where

he is everybodies beloved, but nobodies pet!"

In fact without it he would be Trey songz!

I think his willingness to be so open and raw in his music are definitely apart of his genius.

I've always been amazed not just by his sensitivity but his ability to articulate it & put it to music. If he's singing about love, broken hearts, sex, politics.... he gets his point across in such a beautiful way.

His lyrics are worded in such an expressive style, unique and from the heart but with sentiments we can all relate to - that's why we love him!
