That little white dude most certain copied Prince.

1) Unless you're talking about him as a child, "little" should never be a word used to describe Michael Jackson.

2) Prince has never been on the cover of Vogue, and plenty of men have been known to wear plain suits and hair just like that. When I first saw that photo, I thought of Bowie and Rod Stewart.

3) bored

The little white dude certainly copied Prince. It's sort of hilarious how how poorly he did so.

Had he lived, his copy-cat 02 shows would have been a disaster too. falloff

You're a real fucker. You act like you own this place--ParanoidAndroid <-- about as witty as this princess gets! lol
I hope everyone pays more attention to Sags posts--sweething mushy

My Goodness people, everyone as influenced by someone else. How the hell can MJ copy Prince when he was out before Prince... just wondering hmm I think instead of bashing MJ, we realize that he was just as talented as Prince, Prince could relate, he did say He is a lover not a fighter then saw how people were laughing and he caught on to that and was like hold up.

Michael Jackson may have used "a lover not a fighter" in a song, but that phrase did not originate with him. rolleyes

Thats like saying Prince may have used Lets Go Crazy but that phrase did not orginate from him. So whats the point and who really gives a damn?

I think the Whole prince v Michael Jackson thing is weird. To be honest I do think MJ was conscious of Prince coz didnt he make that comment in Las Vegas on how people always credit Prince with songwriting skills and not him. However I think MJ would be conscious of everybody. He lived his life in the spotlight so was very conscious of celebrity and I feel he would be forced to be far more competitively aware.

For Prince rightly or wrongly I dont feel this would flow in the other direction. I feel Prince has an iron clad self belief in himself and abilities. Ive always thought that even if he sold just a copy of an album he would feel the world had misjudged it. Also because he became famous as an older person so had time to establish his identity

cute clip. i love it when he falls about laughing on the desk & comes back with a sharp answer.

but then after all that fight talk he looks like he needs to take a pee. i think if he had to get physical & scrap, he would go ballistic .. claret all over the place blackeye

Revolution...I agree with your comments apart from one thing...there's no evidence that MJ was in the least interested in Prince.

A fanatic concerning Prince you say?...I hear that a lot, you say it's 'common knowledge'...not once have I heard MJ say anything about Prince in public...and MJ absolutely never 'copied' Prince stylistically or otherwise, really didn't need to...can you explain more about this 'common knowledge', thing? I'm interested?

1. Agreed. MJ was six something, right? Now the white dude part? :censored:

2.

Although I see nothing in that photo of MJ that reminds me of Prince.

3. Once more, agreed. This shit is SOOOO fucking tired!!! MJ and Prince were cool. Rivals? Sure. To the point of beef and name calling? No. Why would they? Two rich, über-talented superstars talking shit about each other? Fo' h'what?!?! Get over the media created feud and go have some new shit happen to you.

MJ didn't know who he was?...have you seen him performing as a child?...he was the most grounded kid you'll ever see.

When you say he 'fondled boys'...well we know where YOU stand on that then = you WANT to believe it, since he was found 'not guilty'.

In fact all you've done is make an excellent case FOR Michael!...for much more reason!..

Well I for one would not have paid millions to that Home Alone kid to keep it out of court! Think......

Or had boys in my bed for that matter................

Or you might want to comment on the subject of the thread...rather than quoting me from days ago...you know, a new day a new discussion...

Prince seemed to be having a light hearted joke at Michael's expense that got the whole room laughing, then kind of restored order...his words seemed to suggest that Michael was 'way out there', otherwise why would he suggest MJ should 'come home?' Really just an opinion.

Hot damn...that's the most you've said in a year.

Anyway, yes the MJ vs P debate is getting a little worn...
