The Bidness of Prince... I was thinking about the W2A endevour...
1) Prince must have a manager these days to take care of the bookings in the arenas, arrange for the Tshirt sales, etc...right?
2) He must have some sort of legal team dealing with the contracts, right?
3) Great idea reworking the stage from the musicology tour...saves money there..right?
4) Wouldn't it make sense tour costs wise, to do a whole bunch of west coast, southwest concerts, then move east, rather than hopscotching around the country? |

As for 4), many of you know that a lot goes into choosing a venue, not the least of which is availability. If P can make a bundle in LA and the dates for Madison Square Garden open up two weeks later, he may not decide to do smaller venues in between. Also, it's not just concerts, but publicity tours, interviews, and other meetings that determine where an artist will play.
You're absolutely right though, most musicians ( and other celebrities ) are horrible businessmen. For every million they may earn, they spend three.
Some people tell me I've got great legs... |

No.
Yes. Her name was listed in the tourbook. I don't have it here at work, so I don't have her name in front of me.

Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."
