you exhaustively research, reserve, make menu selections, send out invites and book your wife's (she's only seen him in concert once) $2,500 birthday dinner at a restaurant for her 20 friends (they aren't fans at all) and invite your 2 die hard friends (we've seen him perform 10 times starting in 1984) to join.

It just so happened there was an all night Prince fan club video dance party downstairs that I didn't mention. I thought I wasn't too obvious and could get away with it except when we arrived the building was illuminated in a Batman type light signal, there were posters everywhere, doorman had a Prince t-shirt on, tons of people dressed in purple and only Prince music was playing downstairs that night. Hey we've been married 10 yrs and I love her deeply, but Prince has been a part of my life for 30 years!! She had a good laugh and mostly danced with her friends upstairs while I joined them periodically. The night ended with us slow dancing to Purple Rain downstairs!! Was I wrong

Well for me the one thing I tend to do all the fucking time..and I think I read that some people do that as well on previous threads is relate dates to Prince albums/Eras. It doesn't matter if I were watching an old movie or news story or something. First thing I think is "Oh 1986 in the Parade era, or 1988 in the Lovesexy era..before I focus on whatever it is I'm watching or reading

Lawd you's a brave soul venturing into those MJ forums *shudders* . This is about all I can take..I need my sanity.

I've seen a bunch of your posts and I dont get that you hate Prince at all His true fans can tell it like is while having a sense of humour and not taking everything so seriously. But erm that's just me.

It is possible to enjoy the music and the man without getting bloody hemmorroids about it. And if he pisses us off... lay into him like a woman scorned. It's a much healthier realationship

I too can think he can be a total ass and egomaniac but still scrumptious and adorable, and how sometimes he needs to stop talking in some interviews...unless he's whispering dirty things in my ear .. while thinking about listening to his music all day sometimes... all at the same time. He is special like that.
