No, they are completely separate songs.
Rick James disliked Prince heavily throughout the 80's, only somewhat cooling his attitude towards him just before he died. He even stole some of Prince's customised keyboard patches while they were touring together.
Prince would have never offered any of his music to Rick and I doubt Rick would accept it even if he did.
