To be honest I have never been a big fan of the Time. I know Prince wrote the songs but well it seems like weaker material than what he was releasing at the time. Since he has been doing Cool I dug out my Time cds and actually like them better. I already liked Get It Up and Cool. The other songs still are not my favorite but they are more tolerable. One cd I dont have is Pandemonium. Does anyone on this site know if it is good? I remember the single Jerk Out. I liked that song a lot. Also how about Morris Days solo stuff.

Pandemonium is a great album! Jerk Out, Sexy Socialites and Skillet are my fvourite tracks on it. Check it out! See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

I've actually been listening to the 1st 2 Time joints recently. Yes P's guitar work on the 1st Time record is slamming.
From the notes and scales being ran in the song, I think it is P playing lead on "777". It sounds so similar to the solos on the 1st Time record and the early P records.

Prince, but deliberately emulating Jesse's style of playing. |
