Alexa De Paris Does anyone know if a (legal) digital download or CD, of the long version of this track exists? Many thanks.

^^ You are welcome. The Letitgo cd single is quite common, and you should have no problems tracking down a good copy on Ebay/Amazon or wherever.

http://www.princevault.co...um:_Parade this will give you some info on Parade, and includes info on an early configuration of the album
Adonis and Batsheeba was recorded on 27th July 86, after parade was already released.
It's A Wonderful Day was recorded 30th jan '86, but was considered for Dream Factory, not parade.

oh, Interesting. It really has that Parade feel to it, don't you think?

Yes, same era (sort of) and band. I love the outtakes from the Parade/Dream Factory Era. I think it was a very special time for Prince, musically that is.

Certainly my favourite.

I was just listening to a couple of Parade era shows earlier today, Prince and band were on fire during that time, so much energy. When things in Princeland get a bit dull for me, and i feel a little jaded, i know i can rely on the '85-'88 period to reignite my spark.

I loved the unpredictableness. The avant garde stuff. The willingness to take a chance. Tamborine, I wonder U, love or money.
I really enjoyed the whacky, odd ballness of it all. You'd put the needle on the record for the first time and genuinely have no idea what you were going to hear. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but very often crazily brilliant...and of course just plain weird.

^^ I agree, and the thing is, all those tracks and live recordings/outtakes etc, still have the ability now, to make me feel similar to how they did when they first came out.

Going back to Alexa De Paris if i may, there is a brilliant full length version of this track on the "Veni Vidi Vici bootleg, it's the First Avenue show on 3.3.86, brilliant show.

The instrumental tracks of Wonderful Day appear as underscore in a scene from Under The Cherry Moon.

^^ They do indeed. A small part of Junk Music does as well, from The Flesh sessions, now that is something i would love to hear in full.

I bought that single just because of ADP Kill All Hipsters
I'm not living, I'm just killing time.

Wonderful Day is part of the scene where Chris is picking his outfit's right? What scene is Junk Music from?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Pretty sure Junk Music is played when Christopher and Mary are racing their cars.
I have not watched any of Prince's movies in a looong time.
