And these folks thought they had seen Jesus. Maybe you're onto something because Prince had a group called The Family also. Andy is a four letter word.

Prince doesn't proclaim to be GOD, nor has anyone on here eluded to the idea that they saw Prince was GOD. Some people have said they have seen GOD in Prince or that GOD spoke to them through Prince.
GOD uses people/situations to speak to people and teach them things. I'm glad Prince is proud to be a tool of GOD, he is inspiring and touching millions of people around the world. Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

I know I said I would leave this thread..
The experience of the music opened the door to the most expansive, true part of myself and I left the ego and narrow sense of self completely behind. And at this highest point of myself, I could see more clearly than anything I have ever seen that Prince is connected to something higher through his music, and that connected to me when I was connected to something higher, too. I think that so many of us felt a energy through him that connected deeply inside of us, but I just felt that really, really intensely. I still consider the concert to be changing moment in my life-- where I re-found my soul, that had become lost and buried with the pain that life brings us.... finding "myself" again was the greatest gift I have ever received, and the connecting through the music was critical in connecting to myself again.
I loved the Jung quote earlier on this thread, and i have been reading a lot about him since my concert experience. Especially about needing to go through pain to experience a higher consciousness.
I can tell my the physical nature of my experience that I was kundalini, and I know we think serpent and we think negative, but that is just the shape/form the energy takes. When you fully trust yourself and allow yourself to express all feelings that come your way--no matter how wierd or even painful they may be--you will be transcended.
I hope others connect to their best selves through the music, let go, trust themselves, and experience joy and love. I know I wouldn't have transcended as I did if it wasn't for the music. So beautiful and deep and true that it brought me back home, to my soul. Kinda amazing.

^See? It was ALL an acid trip, not that kundalini nonsense.
I hope you can clearly see though your 'therapist' now.

Something tells me that I know a bit more about this than you do. Did you have this experience? The experience was related to my use of marijuana, which has been determined to not have been laced with any other substances.
Postscript: I'd highly recommend that those interested in transcendence, kundalini, spirituality and music read "Musicians in Tune" by Jenny Boyd. Those interested in understanding how/why listeners can transcend througe the music should read up online about Empaths. Even though it has been 11 months, the experience at the Prince concert was a life-changing event.

This entire thread has been an interesting read. I did not get to see it before the edits were done and Madness replaced all the bickering with the positive one-word mantras, which I thought gave the thread a nice balance!
And while I cannot identify with Madness' experience, I think people find what they are looking for. So whatever Madness realized about himself (and the world?) at the Prince concert, must've filled a need that he had.
But what is more important to me isn't the truth (or Madness' version of the truth) that was realized, but what you do with this new knowledge.
So...Madness - you had a life changing experience, what are you going to do to pay it forward? How can you use your experience to make the world a better place? The repsonsibility is yours to do so.

OK, just that. So.... anybody in here who does NOT think that those "some people" should instantly see a shrink? This place is a madhouse, seriously.
