Yep, just went visiting every independent record store I know in an attempt to get answers and finally got to speak to a store owner who ordered some that didn't arrive as expected yesterday.

It's just a standard WB re-issue, along with a whole lot of other WB classics (1999 is the only Prince one). He seemed certain that there wouldn't be a thing different about them.

They were meant to arrive yesterday but they haven't, and there's been no news as to why (like record company, like artist wink)

sigh

The good news is that next week is the Annual Aussie Wild Goose Chase which is bound to prove more successful lol

Why can't Warner Bros re-master it? And if it really isn't, I will not buy it. I'll just buy the new Sign "O" The Times DVD.

^^ yeahthat

Where do we sign up for Annual Aussie Wild Goose Chase, that sounds like fun!!!!! razz

Well, that is cool, at least you guys got the info at last.

It's a pity that it is not in a digi-pak cover or something, but at least now you know.

Glad some people are happy that there will be a reissue of this album.

It's a great album, but buying another copy will not make it any greater for me.

It's odd that DMSR is the last track, though 1999 was originally released on CD as 10 track with DMSR omitted. Sanity may have just pulled up that track list, realised that DMSR was also on it and tacked it on the end. I would be really surprised if the tracklisting is not the same as the already available 11 track CD.

There were alot things thrown up during these 5 pages of responses.

I will try to answer a few of the questions, even if they were off topic.

Symbol stage - could be accomodated in multi-purpose arenas in all cities he has previously played in Australia. Melbourne - Flinders Park, Sydney - Acer Arena & Ent Cent, Brisbane - Ent Cent. If he ever makes it out this way out again, I doubt it would make any economic sense to bring it with him.

Princevault - login is for the editors only, if you wish to send updated information use the Contact: PrinceVaultinfo@gmail.com link. And no, I'm not an editor, just a frequent user.

Oz CD Prices - There were some bizarre prices thrown up for some CDs, I'm surprised that ebay is not mentioned as an option. The Aussie dollar is now on par with $US, all WB albums except TGE and Black are readily available new for between $5-7 plus $5 postage.

I recently picked up multiple Lotusflow3r copies for $9 including postage from the US. Taken that it was released almost 2 years ago and selling for a couple of bucks @ Target in the US, but a bargain compared to what's in the shops in Oz.

Good independent record store in Sydney is Redeye records, they're not the cheapest, but they can get you practically anything for those who are averse to e-commerce.

^^ Thanks teimeka for the info!

I agree that if Prince did come back 'downunder ' that it wouldn't be financially viable to bring the stage.

I have discovered the joys of Ebay, it was just the store online prices i was shocked at seeing for 'older' releases. I have pruchased so much Prince music on Ebay my latest being The Holy River Pt 1& 2 & the Gold single. I have also just purchased a set of 7 Prince badges from the U.S for $6.00 delivered, I couldn't make them for that!!!!

Cool with the Princvault info, was wondering about the login option, but wonder no more!!! Cheers!

With D.M.S.R last on the tracklist, 802 & I just thought it was a typo error, no doubt more light will be shed when we get a chance to physically check the re-released 1999 cd out. But as said if there are no changes then I won't be purchasing it. As you say, how many copies of the cd does one need.
