I might be at JB Hi Fi today around lunchtime, so I might find 1999 (probably the old '90's re-issue) and that new Sign "O" The Times re-mastered DVD.

So it's not going down? confuse

It's not looking good at the moment sad

JB get all their new stock on a Friday, so I will check again today, but I doubt anything new will happen on that front at least for the next week (unless we find out they arrived yesterday at individual stores, and not others).

As for Target/Kmart/etc... I'd be surprised, but of course, he has done it before.

Still hoping for an "I found it! I found it!" post, but enthusiasm is really waning now confused

There's really no other music stores here other than JB, Target & Kmart. Sanity bought out HMV & they only have two stores one in Parramatta & the other in the City so maybe worth checking out their website, I'll give it a go see whether they have anything!!

There are plenty of little independants though & if it is released through one of these it will be a pain tracking it down!!!! neutral

HMV is completely gone here in Newcastle, but Sanity is still here. They sell CD's in Myer's and David Jones. JB Hi Fi is way better than any of them anyway,

woot!

Out of all places!

And it's great that this is not on Warner Bros. I hope it's remastered. Maybe the rare and/or unreleased tracks would be released in a box set when he turns 60 or something.

I just found this 1999 re-issue on the Sanity site. It looks like it could be a digipak.

Why is DMSR listed as the last track?

I don't think of Sanity much since they closed most of the stores & I don't venture into Parramatta much so until yesterday I didn't even know they still had a couple of stores open!!!

There arent many details about it so perhaps we might get a surprise after-all!!! I was going to call them but they prob don't know any more than we do at this point. Got to wait until the 11/03 to see what the real deal is!!!! whistling

Well in my area there are 4-5 Sanity stores. I've never seen any in Sydney.

Interesting!! I didn't notice the change of order of tracklist. Mmmm........ would that small change justify it being a 're-issue'??

I'm not a musical tech person, so maybe someone who might know why this would be done could shed some light.

TDG: Any ideas????

I don't really care about them closing that much, JB Hi Fi is a lot better than Sanity.

At least we're doing better than the US, they've got no decent music store anymore.

They've got CDs in places like Target, Starbucks etc. but they're not really decent. I don't know if Wal-Mart has a good range of CDs so I might be wrong.

Yep, just went visiting every independent record store I know in an attempt to get answers and finally got to speak to a store owner who ordered some that didn't arrive as expected yesterday.

It's just a standard WB re-issue, along with a whole lot of other WB classics (1999 is the only Prince one). He seemed certain that there wouldn't be a thing different about them.

They were meant to arrive yesterday but they haven't, and there's been no news as to why (like record company, like artist wink)

sigh

The good news is that next week is the Annual Aussie Wild Goose Chase which is bound to prove more successful lol

Why can't Warner Bros re-master it? And if it really isn't, I will not buy it. I'll just buy the new Sign "O" The Times DVD.
