Yes, the SOTT dvd looks interesting, the Canadian version is much better quality than the standard release (and i have that fact on very good authority), both in picture and sound quality, so that would be worth getting.

As for the rest, like you said, lets wait and see. If the Australian 1999 is different in any way, be sure to post details.

thumbs up!

Also just quickly, I was just creeping around pvault & clicked on 1999, I didn't realize the song Automatic was only released as a single in Australia. Any particular reason why this was so, do you know? Just curious!!! lol

Yeah, JB is usually very good price-wise, but they tend to make their money through "special imports", which I bet is what those CDs are labelled as.

So, I've been to the Melbourne city store and spent some time with a really helpful guy who tried very hard to find any news about a 1999 re-release. No luck sad

Finally, after an exhaustive search, he said, "I really don't think...unless...hmmm...is it possible that he may release this through someone other than WB?"

eek

"Oh, God yes!" I blurted out, to his surprise (clearly not a big Prince fan).

"Well, assuming it's Prince who's releasing it though, which would mean...well...it's complicated."

He told me that I could ring in the afternoon, as sometimes they have CDs just turn up on a Friday afternoon with no warning - he added, "I just can't see that happening with Prince though..."

"Oh, I can," I replied.

So, either it's all a big fizzer, or it's a Prince release rather than a WB release, which would be significant news, right?

I'll ring this afternoon. Keeping fingers crossed.

I can't remember how much Emancipation was when it was released, but Lotus was £30 in the UK.

But prices fell quite quickly for both titles.

Yeah it does, just buy it from some other site with a more reasonable price lol

My local JB Hi-Fi has had the same copy of Lotusflow3r for $52.99 just sitting there since 2009. No one has bought it. Who would at that price?!
