Not a good thing to be sued. I was sued once when after being deenged in the head from a car accident I blabbed that it was all my fault. The plaintiffs claimed I killed their Mother and harmed their son. Their Mother was dying cancer and little boy was not hurt. Still they got 10k from the insurance company.

It was miserable. I was so stressed that I took 4 showers a day. This was while working for the phone compan and raising a daughter.

So it will get stressful for Prince at some point. Stressed Michael Jackson big time, Prince just needs to drop some bucks on these cats.

I think this is a combination of him not trusting anyone to manage his money, and him being in over his head trying everything by himself.

It's got nothing to do with people getting off on anything.

But FYI, Prince could avoid 'misfortune' like this if only he'd take the same precautions or care in regards to business and finances that so many other wealthy people - celebrity and otherwise - do who succesfully avoid getting repeatedly sued.

This will be worked out.

Stop speculating on how he does or doesnt pay bills.

I just want some new music. and a concert in my neck o' the woods.

I find it odd when people are willing to speculate on the motivations behind Prince's work (often this is pure conjecture and without any evidence), but speculations into his sexuality, finances, etc. are off limits.

Speculate all we want I say.

Personally, I think Prince pays his bills after being forced to, so he makes good on his legal promises with some....erm....positive reinforcement. But, other than that I think he might be a bit gay...well, at least bi.

What I am not understanding is why Prince is even still using lawyers. Every time we hear something like this it goes...Prince is sued, Prince loses, 100 years later...Prince pays. He doesn't win shit. Might as well represent himself and save money.

This is what I think. I just can't see a man giving money to charity but refusing to pay someone for work they've done.

Maybe folks around him have their hands out and try to sucker him because they know he hates to deal with the business side of all the mess.

I don't know, just don't make sense that he works so hard and expects to be paid, but he would deny someone that same right. That don't seem like Prince..

Maybe Prince doesn't feel these people earn their pay, or maybe he has a problem with their work vs wages. Maybe he just doesn't get the notices and such because he is so busy and they can't keep up with him everywhere he goes. Or maybe these folks took the troubles he had before with accountants and now just are sue happy where he is concerned.

I just can't see Prince being a selfish bastard that steals money from people. Could he be that cruel? Could he really be a worthless piece of crap that uses people, then drops them and not pays them? No I can't believe that, because what would that say about me and all his fans?

Nah, P is just busy and doesn't trust anyone else to deal with his money, probably from the mismanagement he had before. And anyone really knowledgeable in accounting will have a fat paycheck that P may not feel he can afford. P isn't selling albums or shows like he used to, times are hard for the industry.

I'm a lifelong fan but I do get pleasure from the endless lawsuits because Prince is a very litigious individual who has taken more legal action against his own fan base than any contemporary artist.

Prince is not a friend of mine. Or a member of my family. I have no obligations whatsoever towards him. I just enjoyed his music (and bought it, of course) up to when that music was no longer interesting (2004 onwards). As for the rest, I've always hated him as a person.

So I can't help but feel like puking when I see all the asslicking on here.

I imagine this monster huge clusterf*ck at the designated area of payment - a cacaphony of people doing everything from haggling, complaining, to proclaiming how excellent the show was...other folks trying to explain why they think the show was only worth .01 while a contingent of rabid fammyfams (dressed in purple and sporting earwraps) angrily frothing at the mouth about Prince getting stiffed by the ingrate 'haters' and loudly announcing how they'll pay ANY AMOUNT to see him and that the show was worth some outrageous, ridiculous amount to them, like $10,000 or something.

Then of course there would inevitably be the smartasses who'd be saying the show was horrible and they should be getting paid XXX amount by Prince for having spent money on transportation to the venue.

And to see people ENJOY seeing Prince be in this situation is sick. Forget Prince, karma will come back around for a lot of you in here. This situation has NOTHING to do with any of us. Of course he should pay the bill if he owes them money and if he doesn't then whatever needs to happen will happen but this will not keep a roof over any Prince fans head or put food on your table.
