Let Red Corvette 12" with Lady Cab Driver... (side 2) on both sides? I was going through my collection and found a Little Red Corvette 12 inch with Lady Cab Driver on both sides???
http://www.discogs.com/Prince-Little-Red-Corvette-Lady-Cab-Driver/release/538611 But both sides of vinyl read side 2
Does anyone know about this? I have searched the internet and not much info. [Edited 2/26/11 10:12am]

Assuming both labels read "Side 2", it looks like you have a mispressing. This is one would be pretty rare as usually the labels will be correct and only the music will be incorrect. I'm not sure how much some thing like this is worth though. Good find!

Does it play the same both sides or is it just mis labled? I have a Batdance 7" which is labled batdance on both sides but one side still plays 200 Baloons if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

Thanks man. I have had this for years and never noticed it. I could not find anything on this on the net. It would be nice if any more vinyl experts know anything about his.
It is in excellent, perhaps mint condition. I Cannot see any scratches. I never played it (Obviously

Sounds like you have what finky described. It sounds like the music will be correct as the etching on the vinyl itself is correct. So the side that says R/S Alsdorf 920107 -0 A X will actually play "Little Red Corvette (Dance Mix)". It's just a case of the wrong label being used. As to how valuable that makes it is impossible to say, but to be honest, mislabelled pressings aren't often any more valuable than the regular ones.

I don´t think having a wrong label glued to the vinyl is really that rare. I guess it happened quite often as I have two maxisingles (Let´s Go Crazy and When Doves Cry) with the same labels on both sides, and I have one lp (Prince) with a Randy Crawford label on one of the sides. I assume that it´s less common that the wrong music is actually being pressed into the vinyl, although I´ve got one lp (Lovesexy) which has Prince-music on one side, and a completely other artist on the other side....
