i think it was when he was being interviewed by Leno.. but he said sometimes he used to call his band members and go "housekeeping?" in a foreign voice, and when they figured out it was him, hed switch it up and go "room service?"

and in the interview with Tavis Smiley in 09, he said somebody swore up and down that "little red corvette" was "pay the rent collect" lol and there was another one with "when doves cry" but i cant remember it.

I think I'm paraphrasing, but I always chuckle a bit when I see the MTV interview from 1985 just after ATWIAD came out.

I have a boot from the Gold Experience tour...I think the show was in London. Anyways...he was talking to the crowd quite a bit. My two faves (paraphrased):

"True story...me and my cousin went to see the Jackson 5. Them boys had on flat shoes. I said 'You can't play funk in flat shoes!' Eric Clapton? He a bad muthafucka, but he wears them flat shoes."

Then he starts talking about himself and his heels. Dont remember his exact words, but he ended it with "I need my ass up on high!"

Later, or before...regardless, the same show. He's talkin sexy to the ladies and says

"It's only dirty if you dont wash up!"

I use that one to this day.

there aren't quotes, but i love scene from UTCM, when Christopher was playing piano at Mrs. Wellington's house and her husband (?) called to her and recorded on her answering machine. I remember only this:

*Mr.Wellington was saying something*

*Christopher was playing piano*
