I was thinking about this earlier But I wouldn't mind hearinng him DJ his own music. That would be awesome of course since he knows how to transistion from song to song using the same drum line all throughout. But wen DJing is concerned, we'll say beat Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

Prince has already done it a couple of times.
Once on KMOJ radio in Minneapolis in 1989 and again in the UK on BBC R1 in 1995.
He also "Dj'ed" on the first NPGMC Ahdio show.
He used his silly altered voice on all of them.
They were shit.
So i will say no.

there's 10 ahdio shows, which are the closest you're gonna get to have prince be a dj.
they're fun, for the most part, if a bit irksome in parts. other people chat between the songs, but it's basically all prince's hand, i guess.

I prefer the later shows, when it was just one continuous mix of music, with very little to no chat.

Prince was a DJ in 1989, iirc.
On some local radio station, was pre-recorded though: INXS, Kate Bush, James Brown, Janet Jackson, Tracy Chapmann, Joni Mitchell
and the Scandalous Sex Suite, something from the amazing Black Album too.
Related artists were played too, T.C. Ellis, Ingrid Chavez (?) - I can't recall the rest....
^ all this is posted by memory....
I have the vinyl 3LP bootleg somewhere.
Edit: TheDigitalGardener said: Prince has already done it a couple of times.

Those Ahdio shows were GREAT (overall). Sure, some are better than others, but I think they are all enjoyable. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I liked the later shows, which had no chat, just long mixes of Prince music.
The shows can still be found online quite easily.

Jey, and he did some dJing at the aftershow for Rainbow Children with his own DJ Dudley D in Hamburg in the Mojo Club.
Afterwards I had the chance to talk a little bit with DJ Dudley D and drink a beer with him.

Yes, to me, they were all great (in most ways). It wasn't necessarilly about the songs themselves, but about the presentation. There were also a lot of different edits and alternitive mixes that we hadn't heard before. Not to mention the rare live material. I highly recommend you track them down online. I think you would enjoy them. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Yes. In dance, jazz and progressive genres. But because he's an expert, each track must only last 3 minutes before the next mix. That will keep him busy The mixes are the highlights.
