I love all Prince fonts but can't seem to find even the name of the Controversy font. I even found Dirty Mind, but no Controversy. Anybody know?

Been looking 4 these myself 2 make alternate versions of cover art....without much success.

One Nite Alone

The single with the black border is using some photo type version of Futura Extra Bold for the “PRINCE” and “CONTROVERSY”; there were dozens of Futura knockoffs and you probably won’t find an exact digital version. The newspaper headlines are Univers Regular, Bold, and Black. The purple word “PRINCE” is not a font, it’s hand-lettered.

There are some elements of Britannic Bold, but specific letters in the Controvery font ( D, E, O, R, S ) have been customized, as jpnyc mentioned above.

Girls Are Weird was not no damn Sign O The Times font... used to have that font and it was called Sign I believe

It looks similar to a font called "Broadway" that may have been altered.

I think I just went blind for a while.

How do you use these? My absolute favorite is "Purple Rain'. I like to see Prince's name in this font.
