Songs that should return to the set.

There are a lot of songs that would be cool if he started playing again. How about play some of these songs (I won't mind if he only plays one of these songs I've selected) instead of Shelby and co singing 3-4 songs every night:

$

4ever

Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful

Dance 4 Me

Ol' Skool Company

Sticky Like Glue

Endorphinmachine

Gold

When 2 R In Love

Pink Cashmere

17 Days

I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man

Pop Life

Thieves In The Temple

Joy In Repetition

Anna Stesia

Sign "O" The Times

It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night

Strange Relationship

Forever In My Life

Condition Of The Heart

Lady Cab Driver (as instrumental)

Sexuality (the real version)

Head (as instrumental)
Partyup

When You Were Mine

Sexy MF (as instrumental)

I disagree. I think the setlists are great, and I like that Uptown/Raspberry Beret/Cream/Cool/Let's Work/U Got The Look among other things.

I dont really dig the recent setlist. He needs to play his more recent music. He needs to pay attention to everything from the GE to 2010.I know his music from about 98 on catches a lot of negative attention from people here but come on. His lyrics and such come from a different point of view now. If he played Lion of Judah or Beginning Endlessly that would be artistic progression. To play 1999, Lets Go Crazy, etc. is novelty.

Everything from 1979-1988 that hasn't been played recently, most up-tempo songs from 2004 'till now, most of the Gold Experience and the Rainbow Children and a few other songs here and there.

And please play the 12"-versions if they exist!

You mean you're gonna actually hear what we play tonight? You're not gonna make up the notes in your mind?

why does everybody always bitch and moan about his setlists??

I don't get it

It's prince

It's all his music

He's earned the right to play whatever he pleases

He could play "Mary had a little lamb"

and I would still be happy

id rather him play mary had a little lamb than kiss.

truthfully. i would laugh, and that would be more enjoyable than kiss, which makes me cringe.

The songs I'd like to see return to the setlist will forever be a dream, because, as I've said many, many times...the perverted, dark Prince is my hero. And those songs will NEVER return to the set, but, just for the hell of it, I'll go ahead and mention them anyway.

  1. Head (Jehova's Witness)
  2. P Control (Jehova's Witness)
  3. The Most Beautiful Girl In The World (the whole Mayte thing, ya know?)
  4. When Doves Cry (not as a snippet, dammit, give me the full song!)
  5. Sexuality (screw that Spirituality thing he was doing, give me the real song!)
  6. Dirty Mind (Jehova's Witness)
  7. Darling Nikki (Jehova's Witness)
  8. Soft And Wet (I'd scream like a girl if he'd bring that back!)
  9. My Name Is Prince (I don't know why he don't do it anymore, be a DAMN good opener!)
  10. Sexy MF (Jehova's Witness)
  11. DMSR (I don't know why he don't do it anymore, but it'd still work live -- probably)
  12. Partyman (He does Scandalous, why can't he do Partyman?)
  13. Jam Of The Year (Could make a good opener, it used to be one)
  14. Money Don't Matter 2night (Don't ask, I'd just like to see it return)

I'm sure there's more, but that's the main one's that I'm thinking should return, but probably never, ever will.

I don't really care that much what he plays. As long as it's good, I don't mind. But it would be cool if he played a song I or someone else here requested on this thread.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I enjoy the setlists he plays right now -- but some of the songs I mentioned, while they'll never return, would make me squeal like a pig.

Again? Some of these songs haven't ever been played. And it strikes me as odd to hope for instrumental versions of songs that he's never done that way.

Keep dreaming though!

Most of these songs have been played, only $ and 4ever haven't. I put those in there because would like him to play a Lotusflow3r song other than Dreamer. You might find this surprising, but I tried to make this list sort of realistic. I could have put more songs he has never played live in the list, like Crystal Ball or Dream Factory.

The reason for the instrumental versions is because Prince is a JW and he's too old for singing the lyrics to that kind of stuff anyway.

Head, P. Control, Dirty Mind, Darling Nikki, Sexy MF, - i really would like to see these songs. There are ones of my favs.

The Most Beauitful Girl In The World - that songs was my first fav of Prince. i love The Gold Experience and i loved love between Mayte and Prince.

My Name Is Prince - that song is strange. But i very like it. That would be good opener. But i really want to see THUNDER as opener as it was on Diamonds & Pearls Tour
