Unfortunately, like I said before, some people are very, EXTREMELY NAIVE! Some also live in a vicious circle of abuse, mentally and physically. Some people go on that show knowing full well what to expect, others do not. They may think that they are perfect in every way, and then to be shut down, because Mr. Stern may not appreciate their exterior. The influence of beauty is way to high on the physical, there are much more important attributes than looks. Yes, people are very naive,and some people do live in a vicious circle of abuse...but what does that have to do with this? Is howard supposed to run a complete mental history on all the people who want to be on his show? obviously these people are grown adults who make their own decisions... I agree! there are much more important attributes than looks, ofcourse. but what you seem to not understand is, they do not go on his show to find out if they are "good enough" "smart enough" and "gosh darn it...people like me" they do to go there knowing full well that howard IS all about the physical. For cryin' out loud he has contests for girls who want to get into playboy or want to get breast enlargements, they are not there for emotional support! I think it is important to understand the extreme negative affects this show has on all people, young and old, especially young coming from dysfunctional families. I think it's important for a grown adult to know the extreme negative affects their own actions may have on their own lives. You can laugh all you want, it isn't funny in the least bit, it is very SAD. Some people never learn after a life of abuse that there is love, some keep up in this web of lies, and disgusting, manipulating behavior of some in our society, & our TV today. YES - VERY SAD INDEED! ?? you are really streching it now, yes...some people never learn after a life of abuse that there is love...but again, unless you have some hidden fact that say 50% (or more or less?) of howard stern listeners are from abusive relationships and dysfuntional families then...what are you going on about here? I'm willing to guess that the majority of howards listeners are from perfectly normal (depending on your idea of normal) upbringings and relationships. Web of lies and disgusting, manipulating behavior? what? where are you getting all of that...just from the howard stern show? I think you might be watching or listening to something else... Can't you try and understand this - or are you blinded as well? see, now, you don't have to go on and start insulting me (oh yes..you are borderline doing so) All I am saying is I find howards show funny...most of the time. Sometimes I think he's boring..but because I find him funny doesn't make me a bad person. That fact that I would never go on his show does make me a smart person.

Howard would not take the time to run a mental history - no. By the way, the % of people that are affected by mental illness is VERY HIGH! Some people never grow up, and no they are not able to make the right decisions. This show should not be on TV! I'm NOT insulting you, really I'm not, I'm trying to make you understand. You are probably a great person. I know people who watch this show, and they are good people? Puhleeeze watch or listen to the show more than once before you try to make a point about it. Sorry but...As I've said before, howard admits he is a tall skinny dork all the time, he ridcules his nose, his hair..everything. And as far as the contests go...he brings in a panel of judges to do the judging...he brings in people from the industry to do the judging. "not a fan" yeah...ok | |
