Thanks for ruining my night.

Iwas about to watch a live performance of Raspberry Beret on line coz i'll never get to see you perform it in the flesh (living in Tasmania, an island state of Australia on a limited income and a phobia of planes) and, of course, the "content removed due to"....BS line came up....

Grrrrrr!!!!!

Release a live dvd already, so we can all share the love, or, leave the stuff on the net so we can all share in the funk.

A concert DVD or two would be nice.

Shit, if all the stuff he reased on vid while at WB would be re-released on DVD, that would be AWESOME.

So far we got the D&P compiliation, which was great, but it would be great if we could get stuff like 3 Chains O' Gold and Prince & The Revolution Live as well.

I agree. There is definitely a potential for LOTS of $$$$ to be made. Since he doesn't want his content on Youtube or seemingly anywhere else for that matter, he should authorize another "Greatest Hits" DVD. In my opinion, that would be a far better way to address the whole Youtube thing. Obviously, if he has fans that will pay $77 for defunct websites, hundreds to see him in concert, thousands in hopes of seeing him perform for charity, upload performance clips and various altered videos, then some would willingly pay a small fortune to own video(s) of his work to date.

Prince's marketing team are doing their job, maybe it's time to take out a "Now Hiring" ad.

He needs to film one of the upcoming Welcome 2 America concerts and release it on DVD and Blu-Ray. I heard Oakland 1 today, and it was incredible.

Yeah, I know. I recently had my VHS copies converted to DVD format.

i could do that, but id rather pay money for a legit dvd version...even though i think copyright laws allows copies for personal use (especially with transferring formats)

it never used to, although i always recorded my vinyl to cassette, to save said vinyl...(for personal use once again)

correct me if im wrong peeps

I thought it was legal, if it was for personal use only.

I'm still confident he's going to make it to Australia soon(ish), so if he doesn't go to Tassie, you could always "get on the boat"

I know what everyone's saying about the videos though.

I love the idea of him having a website again, more like 3121.com (ie. info-based, either no m'ship or free m'ship), where there is an official live blogger and an official video stream, so he really can tell people to relax, put their phones and cameras away and just enjoy the show, because official photos, video and pseudo-tweets will be going out to anyone that wants to join the fun.

They control what's sent out, it's good quality so it doesn't damage his brand, but they can limit it enough so as to make sure the properly edited DVDs (yes, would love more of those ) would still sell.

As for the thought that someone (with the means to buy a ticket and travel to the concert) would skip going to a live event because they could just sit in front of their computer and watch some videos instead...really? Would anyone really choose to do that?

Ultimately it's his business, his choice.

I'm happy to at least be hearing about them for now - they sound amazing!

Can't wait to find out where he'll be turning up next...

We've been begging and pleading with Prince for years to sell we the fans what we want. He ALWAYS manages to do the exact opposite of that. And that says what?

Melbourne would be good, but with transport and accomodation on top of tix prices, i just couldnt afford it

i have always told my husband and son that id sell them t o see princey....and chillichoc could knock me out and drag me on a plane
