It sounds like you may have a problem with this girl, and her claiming to be a Prince fan does not really have much to do with things at all. I may be wrong, i often am.

So long as you know how big or little a fan you are, that is all that matters, yes?

thats the main purpose to make art! it's for people to look at it and form a opinion (good or Bad)

so when someone tells you they like your material and dont listen to the material thats kinda like a slap in the face.

Think about some of the people on here...

Some of them really believe they are Prince's BIGGEST fan, and you can't tell them any different.

But for different reasons:

• knowing the words to every song
• going to many, many shows
• having every release and bootleg on vinyl, cassette AND CD
• collecting everything they can get their hands on
• pledging their undying love for Prince
• claiming to know everything about his personal life- past and present

The list goes on...
