Hello Orgers, I'm not trying to start any trouble. God Bless The Dead !!! However, does anyone know where this Prince article can be found? Looks like M.J is reading USA Today, either 1984 or sometime in 85. Please post if you have or know where this article can be found.

Try using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro or any photo editing tool to zoom in onto the date assuming the resolution is good enough.

Also - its seems to be USA Today so some libraries will have their archives on microfiche or something- depends how keen you are to find out LOL

If the newspaper is a copy of USA Today, try the papers website, they may have an archive section.
