I think so, i was looking at my tour progs today, and in the Act 1 (1993) book, there is a picture of Sonny T holding this very bass.
Nice thing.

"Futuristic" and "vintage" (or "retro" etc.) are not contradictory. Both expressions can be used for describing the same item. If something was considered "futuristic" during the pást decades it doesn't become "non-futuristic" if it didn't accurately convey what the designs of the coming decades turned out to be like. The definition from the Free Online Dictionary conveys the use of the word pretty well, "characterized by, or expressing a vision of the future".

However, many would argue that the only proper use for the word would be in reference to the art / architectural movement from the first decades of the 20th Century.
