Data Bank...extended portion... So..back in the day...5 years ago before my computer crashed on me lol...I used to have an extremely clear version of Data Bank which included a bit more of the track after he said, "fade it out". It of course didnt fade out..it was just more music until it stopped basically as I recall.
Plus this version seemed to be un-mixed as his vocals were very much in the forefront taking over the music in a way. Has anyone heard this version before? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

That's the usual 'vox-high-up-over-everything' mix Prince usually demands to listen to his vocals while driving.
That kind of mix is also circulating for some other tracks, like f ex the 1986 remake of We Can Funk. | |

I have that version of Data Bank, as there is more synth after he calls for the fade and We Can Funk is outstanding with the extra clear vocals. __________________________________________________

Thank you very much for the info...I think I may have that version..not sure, may have to check the sources. So Prince used to make his vocals higher on some mixes just to hear his voice? that's intresting. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
