Question about Pop life 45

Hi everyone,

On the weekend I picked up a copy of the Pop life single.

The first thing I noticed about it was it wasnt in a stiff card cover, the cover was cheap paper, then when I pulled out the single I found 2 printed inserts as you would find in a juke box.

Is there a version of singles put out just for juke boxes? That would explain the cheaper looking cover and the inserts.

I havent come across anything like this before, any infomation would be appreciated cool

Having bought all the Prince 45s in the 80s on the days they were released, I can report that they came in those flimsy paper sleeves (in Canada and the USA). Card sleeves were/are a thing more popular in Europe. Back then, when jukeboxes that played 45s were very popular, 45s were made for them (that's why those adapters are required to play 45s on a regular record player), so I'll bet the copy you have there was from a company that stocked jukeboxes because of the little paper insert. Oh dear, I can actually remember plugging money into jukeboxes just to hear "Hello" at local restaurants and bars...
