Oldest footage known of Prince performing... The oldest footage I know that exists on film of Prince is form the Dirty Mind Tour. I know of the Paris & New York footage. Is there any more from that period or older than that that exists?

Do you recall what song he sang on AB?

I Wanna Be Your Lover and Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad. He performed the same songs on the tv show Midnight Special as well.

I haven't seen those tv clips in a while. Was it all lip synched, or were the vocals live?

Nope, both AB and Midnight Special were lip synced. His first LIVE tv appearance was on SNL 1981 doing "Partyup"

I know right Seemed like I was actaully listening to the real song, because then he was performing every song exactly how it was on the album. And that's work jumping and moving around while sticking to perfect falsetto without breaking ur voice.
It wasn't until a bit later that he started deepeniing his voice on falsetto based songs (ex. When U Were Mine on Makings of Rain, Bambi on March 8? 1982 show, etc), which made it even more interesting. Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! I know about TV appearances, but more specifically, I'm wondering of there is any footage of him playing live that is older than the Dirty Mind Paris & New York shows....
