I don't think prince is a very nice person there are some cleb.that go out of their way to sign stuff take picture with fan's one thing prince does do is allow us when we goto concerts to ask ? thats worth something but prince the person would'nt go well with me i have a many friends and i'll never think i was to big to not talk to everyone i would understand if someone ask me something personal but heck prince can't answer any ? straight whats up with that.

i'm not sure what thing it is with pepe willie that you're talking about...but wouldn't you get tired of somebody re-packaging, re-releasing, and re-selling a project you weren't all that involved with and using your name to sell it?

as for prince getting meaner...

well, he can't be ev'rything to ev'rybody...there are prolly people somewhere that would describe plenty of us as 'mean' cos we didn't do what they expected..show up where they wanted us to..acknowledge them in a crowded place..buy them an xmas present...

Taking a few minutes to greet your fans and sign autographs is just a way of being gracious. Big time celebrities like Tom Cruise are able to do it, I don't think it would be impossible for Prince to do it either. Actually, he used to, at least around the time of the Symbol album in 92.

Some celebs wont sign autographs because they consider it some form of "idol worship" or whatever. To me, thats a load of crap. If thats the case with Prince, then what would you consider the personal shrine of Prince merchandise at NPG Retail?

Watch the Radiohead DVD "Meeting People Is Easy" and you can see they are mortified of interviews and look downright run into the ground during the photo shoots and Q&A sessions. If Prince is declining from interaction due to some sort of anxiety it causes him, so be it.

Not allowing concert photos is a mixed bag. I can understand where Prince doesn't want flashes going off during the whole show, or people disturbing others trying to get the best shot. Prince isn't going to go broke to amateur photographers taking snapshots at his shows. He doesn't even really sell concert photos to begin with.

A lot of 'moody' artists are still kind enough to sit and sign everyone's crap, I don't think its a big deal, think of how much $ this guy has gotten from you.

You know i've worked with children like Prince and he possesses so many symptoms of Attention Deficit Disorder it is incredible! His kindness is idealistic and though real, is childish in a sense in that it's often huge gestures of generosity. Ie the whole Love 4 One Another concept. However when it comes down to simply communicating with people he cannot do it. The man cannot understand the concept that communication is two way. Prince only see's the world from Prince's point of view. He is hugely egocentric and the fact he freely drifts from concept to concept, whilst at the time is seemly obsessed with just the one, indicates that he's capable of massive lapses in concentration and then the complete opposite. Im not saying Prince has ADD that would be stupid but the way in which he acts makes me and all the people i know who work with people with ADD smile. He's a classic case!

I thought ADD was a joke to rake in the drugs for soccer mom's with 'trouble-making kids'?

LOL i wish it was a joke, my parents foster kids and the ADD ones are incredible. I think it is often over diagnosed though and anyone with a kid that causes trouble is often labelled as having ADD. But the genuine ones..damn...life is colorful!

He should at least sign an autograph or two.The guy comes across as an arrogant prick in that respect.

Good job i like him for the music.Seems like he flips everybody the finger behind the scenes.

that's why he is where he is today, at the bottom of the pile and on nobody's mind except for a tiny but loyal fanbase.

You're too young to remember when Pepe Willie started releasing those albums with Prince on it. And you're also too young to remember that he's been releasing those albums at least once a year for almost 16 years, the same shit over and over again, dressed up as something else. Basically trying to make some money off of Prince. I agree that Prince has a trigger-happy suing finger, but in the Pepe Willie case, it's justified.

I know I've said this already, but I believe Prince is upset with Pepe for the same reason he's upset with Warner - because he knows he can do NOTHING to stop him from releasing this stuff whenever he feels like it.

I know this has nothing to do with Prince being nice or not. All I know is when I met him, he was very nice to me.

I think that Prince is a man with a very very seductive smile&eyes 2 match,handsome,cute,sexy,bad,arrogant,generous,unstable,egocentric,sensitive,beautiful,religious,short,fun-kayAsHell,moody,FYNE,tiny,smart,dominating,flirtatious,carefree,rebellious,funny & intimidating &talented &unreliable yet reliable &he reads alot.

I've been to many concerts and all the celebrations and I've seen Prince in a rude way and than like a person with the softest heart in the world.

You can't blame him for protecting his own interest.
Noone has the right to make money using his name or material that he isnot involved in. Noone would like this.

But I have to admit that sometimes during some of the soundchecks and shows I was sort of surprised by some of his remarks, but than I just think, well, that's Prince and go on enjoying the show.
