One of his tops. Nice feel good rhythm playfulness, love the band on this one

Not my favorite but I'm not a big fan of songs that run 10 minutes.

This track is great. The extended instrumental portion at the end is pure gold. This song really is something special. While it's not great radio material, the song has that epic quality to it.

Hmmm, 'I wish u heaven', lalalaheeheehee, the future are IMHO better BUT it is damn funky!

It's GOOD music for getting work done. I've noticed that I move faster whenever it's on. But then again, I've loved this song since I first heard it. I think I might be short a few seconds, though....probbaly doesn't matter. Anyway, it's HELLA funky. I've been to at least one wedding where somebody played it and the dancefloor was packed... that was the one time I can honestly say I danced my ass off.

ohmigod...seriously though, that animated gif....I have that same one somewhere and I did the little dance for a good ten minutes. Couldn't help myself.

Exactly! Its The Revolution at its best.....The kick drum in the remix gives the track a whole new sound.....The vocals are outstanding..The arrangement is genius....

hee hee... 'mountains' is actually my favourite prince song in the whole world... when i first heard it way back when, the thing that made me fall in love with it was the horn charting, at the end of the single edit. i just love the arrangement of the song, and the message.

i do have the 12" edit (with alexa du paris on the other side- another great track with the inimitable sheila e), and i love it all.

Prince did Mountains and Anotherlover at the last show I went to, and it really didn't do anything for me. When I hear those songs they are so totally Prince and the Revolution songs that it just doesn't feel right for them to be played with any other band.
