I agree with the original poster: the concert in Gentofte / Copenhagen Denmark 1990 was the worst Prince concert I have attended.

Bright daylight - outdoor arena, no atmosphere at all. The audience was "dead", the Batdance song and the encore were so uninspired. Prince played a little more than just 1 hour. He made the Game Boys try to cheer up the audience several times, but with no luck. Prince suddenly left without saying a goodbye. That is how I remember this awful concert.

Later I saw the concert from Japan on TV - much better show / concert.

What was wrong with the audience at your show?

I've seen a few Nude tour shows on videotape and I don't think it's one of Prince's best tours.

The NUDE TOUR, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the best tour the dude ever played.

Almost nobody in the Prince world would ever debate on that... if there wasn't that crazy place called the .org.

oh I have to disagree. I loved the Tokyo concert. Best versions of Bambi, Alphabet Street, Baby Im a Star, Question of U were great moments. Love it! Especially with Rosie Gaines.

If I was going to show someone a live version of Baby I'm a Star to impress them, I might show them the Coruna Nude Tour pro shot one. It's pure energy. Other tour versions of Baby I'm a Star get really good after he finishes the song and starts to jam, or before the song and they are jamming to start.

yeah man , it was fantastic!never again in his whole career was he backed by such talent as the Game Boyz! they were so great, they were capable of playing over 60 shows of exactly the same songs, night after night! I mean, other people would get bored and lose their edge but these guys were fantastic! ow and prince man, Prince! He was fantastic too! he managed to play some of the most uninspired versions of Purple Rain ever! And to top it all off, they consedired themselves so fantastic, they decided to cut most shows short at 85-90 minutes thinking they had done enough to satisfy everyone.

Seriously, I think his best tours were ONA (for the sheer quality of the music) and 20ten (autumn leg only with the superior band)

I saw Prince on the Nude Tour at Wembley Arena...my judgement might be clouded by being 8 rows from the front, but it's still the best Prince gig I ever saw and I've been to enough of them.

confused

Those versions of Purple Rain were awesome, and a short set doesn't mean that the performance was bad. Quality over quantity.

It doesn't matter if the setlists were all very similar unless you went to more than one concert. Other tours had very little varriaton too.

Apart from The Game Boyz the band was very talented. It had Michael B, the best drummer Prince ever had. It had Rosie Gaines, the best backing vocalist Prince ever had. I call that talent.

And Sorry, but the Nude Tour was far better than the One Nite Alone and 20TEN Tours, although they're both fantastic.

True. It's still awesome, but can it really compete with the Parade, Sign "O" The Times, LoveSexy and Nude Tours? Hell no!

I did not like the dancers on this tour either. Likewise when they did D&P. They just dont fit. Not into the twins of recent years. I like Prince better with just his band. Cat was alright but I did not even get into Mayte.
