They don't accept unsolicited mail at Paisley Park.

Your letter would get thrown away, unopened and unread.

I mailed a letter there once a looong, long, LONG time ago but never got a response of any kind. Nobody I've ever talked to who tried sending mail to PP got a response.

Sorry. sad

They are opened to make sure it's not psycho stuff and then thrown away. I used to know the guy whose job it was to do this.

Ahh.

I'd just heard what I did through the rumor mill and you know how that goes.

I bet that was an interesting job to do. That guy must have seen lots of...um..."intriguing" things contained in letters to Prince. lol

Yes I tried. Forget it. Your best chance is handing it to him in person.

I know of a journalist who was desperately trying to interview Prince. He went to a soundcheck (this is pre-ONA when few people had access), even got friendly with Larry Graham (went to the Kingdom Hall with Graham, etc.), got an interview with Larry, and when he was introduced with Prince gave P's security a letter to give to P.

Later that day, P's security found the journalist and gave him back the letter stating that it was improper for him to accept the letter in the first place and that if he wanted an interview he should contact P's publicist.

So handing it to him in person may not even work.

Each and every time I have sent Prince a letter I find that Prince has taken part of the letter and what I have written and has written a song using what I wrote to him. I guess Prince must like what I write to him.

Better yet, write your message on a $100 dollar bill. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to take it.

I love sending 'Thank You' notes to Prince,
and I won't stop now, cause he has done so much for me!
To find his address on line, look up Paisley Park Studios.
And if he inspires you too,let him know! I think all messages get through...one way or another! wink

I never wrote there, but I did call back in 1995 on his birthday. I had a very nice sounding voice of a secretary on the phone. Which was pleasently surprised that somebody would call from overseas to say 'happy birthday'. Prince was nowhere near when I asked to have him on the phone. He was in Miami playing live in glam slam...
