Plans to Make Special Donations to Three Local Organizations
NEW YORK, NEW YORK (February 4, 2011) - In a special ceremony held just before his final Madison Square Garden "Welcome To America" performance on February 7th, 2011, Prince will announce a special donation in support of three New York City based organizations. The organizations were chosen by the music legend himself and include The Harlem Children's Zone, The Uptown Dance Academy, and the American Ballet Theatre. Representatives from all three organizations will be on hand to accept the donations.
In addition to representatives from each organization, 30 students from the Harlem Children's Zone will join Prince on stage for the announcement. The February 7th concert, which will be opened by the dynamic musical artist Cee Lo Green, marks the close of Prince's successful NYC "Welcome 2 America Live" tour.
