I just read the thread about prince doing drugs. and it made a reference to the VH1 special and him smoking a bong.

It was the rock and roll is alive video, i was at the video shoot for that. they filmed the rock and roll is alive and gold video that night as well at paisley park. i will let you know right now it wasnt a bong, it was a cigar he light up, and then put out right away, he was coughing from the smoke

I really liked this VH1 tv special..... Love 4 One Another.....

110% sure it was a cigar, i was standing on the left side of the stage right by the stage and it was a cigar. im sure he was coughing because hes not a smoker and i doubt he even inhaled. he put it out right away. but it for sure was a cigar

Weirdest way to smoke a cigar ever. I thought the whole Bong thing was weird, so why does the theory that it's a cigar seem even more ridiculous?

just a regular old cigar! great show, i still have some of the gold confetti and fake snow they were droping on the crowd, snow for rock and roll is alive, and gold for the gold video shoot!! that was a fun night, plus saw dave chapelle perform, way better than his show, and nona gaye was awesome!

Was this the only time Prince smoked?
