Objectively, R Kelly has a following who love his shit and consider him a genuis. I've only got one song on my ipod, being from illinois i always felt chitown homies tried to shove him down my throat so i never got into dude. However, i've noticed that he's considered a real balladeer with hoodrats lol.

Do Me Baby, International Lover, Adore, Slow Love, and most if disc 2 on Emancipation is some of the best baby making music in my opinion. As far as R Kelly...maybe he does make good baby makin music, but I just don't like any of his stuff.

Either Marvin Gaye or Barry White take the cake here.

at this point, isn't Barry White such a baby-making music cliche that the potential baby-maker is likely to laugh in your face if you put him on with the intent of starting some baby-making activities?

Prince is too direct, and takes too much of my attention. No homo, but he seems to speak directly, and music wise, I can't do anything else than to listen to his music. It's difficult. R. Kelly is just smooth, and sounds just as good as background music. It's not as physical as Prince music. It's hard to make love when Prince is standing in the room with those staring eyes from the pre 90s.

"No homo". Doesn't that mean kinda worried that you might be a little bit? smile

Depends if you want to be romantic or treat your woman as a piece of meat.

Well said. And to answer the question Just the thought of kelly all cracked out, making that minor feed him the crack pipe, well.... makes me flaccid.

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

It's not even that for me. I don't find R. Kelly's music sexy at all. I think of it as misogynistic.

for me, it's not that it's misogynistic. it's just that it's fairly asexual to me. there is no visceral sexual quality coming from Kelly's songs/performances/productions, like there is in Prince's. it's all dress-up and going through the motions and throwing in the required ingredients of a sex song.
