Wouldn't you love to love me? - the false one

I just found a song mistitled Wouldn't you love to love me. It's falsely claimed to be a Madonna/Prince collaboration. It sure isn't Wouldn't..., but it is almost definately Prince from the same period.

Have anyone got any idea what the real title of this song is?

Perhaps you could describe the song - provide some lyrics, perhaps?

All right:

After listening again I realise that the chorus is the same as in Wouldn't you love to loive me, so it might just be another version of it. But the rest is very different.

Its an acoustic guitar song, most in the style of Donna and Leaving for New York. Demo quality of the 70s. Time 3:54

The lyrics as well as I can hear it (the dots meaning I can't hear it):

I can tell by the ... in your eyes

...

Who'd have guessed that my kiss could do so much

I could tell that you want to feel your love touch mine

Ooh time

I can tell by the way You say my name

That you're tired of all my silly games

... that's for sure

It just so happens that I am (not) mature

Playing so hard to get

I'm waiting baby you're not just ready yet

Wouldn't you like to love me, wouldn't you

x2

Wouldn't you love to be with me my love

Wouldn't you love to have me for your very own

You're so busy but I like your style

... all you do is smile

tell me what's on your sexy mind

you wish I stopped wasting all your time

Playing so hard to get

Baby you're just not ready yet

... tangible

...

...

Wouldn't you love to love me, wouldn't you

I seen that on Youtube aswell..NO Madonna involment. It's just Prince. Its the demo version from 1976. Whoever put that caption on that video was outrageously misinformed

Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

I don't rEcognise those lyrics. Is this something previously uncirculating? It's not on my copy of Work It...

Looking forward to hunting this down when I get home from work, thanks for the info

edit*** ignore me. Had it years, just never listened to it properly due to dodgy quality. don't really like it sad

Okay, thanks, it seems that there are three Prince recordings of this song. The one I'm talking about here is the 76 one then. Totally different from what it turned into later (also the Taja Sevelle version, which as usual takes the soul out of a beautiful song).

But check the original out if you dig his 70s style (of demos).
