I'm sure everybody remembers the Life Size stand up of Prince on his motorcycle for "Purple Rain."

Does anyone here have that stand-up? How much do you think it would be worth if it were sold?

I have it, but the mover's ripped off the headlight of the bike, and it's gone. Not one thing was stolen or broken when I moved. I almost called the company on this guy because I moved it myself in my car. I showed it to the mover's when they got here.

Since it isn't in perfect condition anymore...I guess I'll keep it.

Do you think that could be restored?

How many of these stand ups were made for promotion?

No clue how much they are worth.

I have 3 Bob Dylan ones that are the same for his cd love and theft... I paid about 100 bucks for each

I have the Diamonds and Pearls one too. I paid $60 for it last year, it was in great shape.

My dad was moving accross town and has some movers...and a glass 5 gallon water jug. U put the 2 together and U think U might have it...nope.

The mover did break the glass bottle....and he also picked up the pennies and put them in a bucket while in the middle of the street.

Fast forward 5 years....

Hurricane katrina happened and my dad took the remaining glass bottle(he had 2) and brought it to a donation center all the was in CA. There happens 2 b a camera crew there from a news station and the fucker ended up on the news for donating $300 in pennies(that's about how much they held...we had counted them at one point). The next day he told me, for $40, I could take the other one to the coinstar and redeem the pennies that way. I agreed. The said pennies were in a bucket. I picked up the bucket, carrying it to my car. While in the middle of the lawn, bucket breaks...pennies in grass. And I'm the one who was cutting the lawn...so I couldn't just leave a bunch of them there.

FUCKIN MOVERS!!!!!!!!

btw: at the borders near CSUF(Fullerton) there was a lifesize of the emancipation Me and my roomate tried to steal it, but he chickened out and messed it all up.

Good story.

I had the one from "Diamond and Pearls", but our basement flooded and Prince suffered an unfortunate mold condition on his right foot.

I used it as a prop at my 40th birthday party, then it went into the dumpster outside the hall.

I have a Marilyn Monroe thingy. My Dad got it for me when I hosted the Oscars Party last year he also got me an Oscar, which he now awards me for every succefull shoot/video I do. I have no idea how much it cost him but when I looked it up online I found that most of those cutouts go anywhere between 40$ and 100$.

I have one of Iron Man and also one of Alfred Hitchcock. Alfred has seen better days but iron man is still in good shape. my friend in Highschool had the Diamonds and pearls Prince holding his yellow guitar. even back then we were taller than the life size stand up. That use to crack us up

I still have the full size Lovesexy cut out somewhere. I couldn't display it, as it would make my children scares of the naked man with the big head.

Oh well, stuff like that happens no matter how hard you try to protect it. I realized last night that I said that the mover ripped off the "Headlight," when it is actually a hand sized light that came off the side. And the guy took it with him, otherwise I would have put it back on.

I look at it now and then. I don't display it for people to see. I always thought if I had a Prince related party that I would.

Cool. $100 dollars is such a small amount of money, it's nicer to own than sell.

I would have called the moving company for sure if that was the case. I would have demanded that my move be paid for.

The little light on the bike is traumatic to me...

I just bought the 4' by 6' stand up for the Welcome 2 America tour. It is him with his bass, and the ballerina standing behind him.. will be perfect for my collection!

I see. Is Misty wearing an ankle bracelt with her leg on a swivel hinge so the two of them can hang from the ceiling? Or is it a boring stand up without any hardware in it?

Oops, I made a mistake... it's not a stand up, but a four foot by six foot poster of just Prince with his bass guitar.. lol.

I took my (now EX) fiance to a Musicology concert...

We fought all the way home because he said that I showed more enthusiam at the concert than I did the day he proposed...

I was actually speechless from being overwhelmed and surprised when he asked me.

That is terrible. My x destroyed a few pieces of my property as well. It's stupid isn't it? when break-ups lead to breaking things. I'm sorry that happened to you.
