The Gold Experience sheet music for guitar

Was the offical lyrics/piano/chords book for The Gold Experience any good? Trying to figure out some of the guitar parts through all the layers of effects and vocals is a pain in the butt, and I can’t find tabs for most of the songs. Do I’m thinking about hunting for a used copy of the Hal Leonard book, but I don’t want it if it’s just a bunch of chords to strum in key with the album.

I'm not sure a Hal Leonard Gold Experience book exists. I know there are ones for 1999, Musicology, 3121, Planet Earth... maybe some others. But never seen a Gold Experience one. Most of those books are written for solo-piano with simple guitar chords written above, so probably not what you're looking for. What songs in particular are you trying to work out?

if the book is actually listed as being lyrics/piano/chords its not going to give you note for note guitar parts, only chord changes.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Thanks. And Toejam, it’s really a problem with the high-gain rhythm guitar parts throughout the album. None of them is especially complicated, but the mix is so murky that notes just get lost.
