Toss up between 3121 (for the funk) and Lotus (for the guitars).

Sound wise Lotusflower/mpls sound is the best..... some amazing sounds for drums and guitars and the mastering is very nice.
Song wise - Musicology all the way....amazing record. *

I'd more or less go along with that, although I'd extend Future Soul Song's big Hollywood finish to the last 1:30 (right on the nose too).
Prince is still a force in the studio and can dress mutton up as lamb, but he can also dress lamb as mutton if the mood takes him. That said, I found the last 1:30 of Future Soul Song to be so unexpectedly good I just didn't think Prince was capable of it any more. And when the stories came out that it was an Emancipation outtake, that seemed to make perfect sense to me.
There has definitely been a dumbing down of Prince's released output certainly since Musicology. The best track other than the above I'd probably say was Immersion. With just a few duff tracks, the Bria Valente disc was better than the two preceeding Prince discs combined in my opinion.
