Two Sides of the Camera

There are two sides of the camera, and you can only be one one side of the camera with Prince.

Are you the photographer or the model?

What would the set look like?

What would Prince or you be wearing?

What full length album by any artist would you listen to during your photo session?

I would definitely be the photographer.

The setting would be an open country field with an old beat up light pink pick-up truck. (I have seen this truck in real life)

Prince would be wearing jeans, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat. Shirtless.

I would choose Dan Fogelberg's "Home Free." for the session.

How about you?

Ooooh this is right up my alley!

I'd like to do both. Hell, for this I'd even pick up the camera myself (Haven't done that for 3 years, which is weird cause I'm a photography major)!

For the Prince shoot I'd probably take him to the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion, have Rushka Bergman dress him in the 1910 tux with the signature heels, throw in a few girls in Marchesa gowns across the lounges in very deep Flapper make up and distressed finger waves and let them do whatever the hell they want. I'd even keep my yelling to a minimum.

As for music, obviously it almost always has to be something that would loosen up the models but I like to keep it close to the theme. Which in this case would be something jazzy and funky at the same time.

As for me modeling, well it would probably would be up to him. But since I'm so bossy, I'd probably get my way in the end anyways.

This is something that will happen with or without Prince within the next few weeks anyways, so yeah. Inspired heavily by the Digital Death I'm gonna be in a coffin. I'm thinking white silk (originally I wanted purple or royal blue but it ends up looking like a knock off of a real casket), shot from above. If I can get my way, I'd like to have the coffin inside an actual freshly dug grave but so far none of the cemeteries in the area have agreed to this. If I don't get the grave I'll either have someone just dig out a hole in the backyard (not ideal) or just go in tighter and avoid the dirt all together. Now for the wardrobe the inspiration is Black/Sicilian Widow. A black gown made entirelly out of see-through black netting, black corset/garters/thighhighs. Center part, strong eyebrows, deep red lips/nails, head is covered by black lace (detailed). Props include a gold crucifix.

The final images would have a cold bluish feel to them.

Music of choice: Marilyn Manson's "Holy Wood".

Sorry that reads more like story board. ... And come to think about it the only way I'd get Prince to shoot this is only if I get him drunk and high and he doesn't realise what he's doing ...

First we need a brand new camera that never took another man's photo....in order to have a pure result. Then we just let the ipod shuffle. The photos would mostly be nudies and involve blindfolds. cool

These are nice photo's 9037355.

I'd also like to photograph Prince on a red dirt country road. I'd like to get a picture of Prince holding an acoustic guitar, walking away and looking back at the camera. Could try it in the morning and the evening to test the lighting.

I love natural lighting. I'm an outdoors photographer. I don't ever feel the need to carry anything that helps a picture. I realize that professionals feel differently especially with studio work.

I did one picure on a model's composite years ago. And I did a great band photo on a set of railroad tracks years ago as well.

I'm just the kind of person that want the lens and the sun.

I'm a photographer, so this is an easy choice. As far as the set, I'd rent a small club and set up a stage using every instrument he plays. I'd take pics of him with nearly every instrument and make a composite image called "One Man Band"

That is a really cool idea.

I like it when you can roll the film back, (usually only once) and take one picture over another.

I have this picture of me from 20 years ago. I'm sitting on a bed holding a cigarette. Then he rolled back the film, I went to the other side of the bed and held up a lighter to light my cigarette.

The picture of me or the bedspread isn't that great, but the flame was right on spot.
