The Sex Symbol Aspect of Prince

The Sex Symbol Aspect of Prince is a portion of who Prince is as a musician.

In my opinion it is much different for a male to be a sex symbol than it is for a female.

Prince has creatively planted seeds of desire into the hearts of his listeners. This has grown in the hearts of females as Love because we are (not) animals operating solely on instinct.

Do you believe Prince is content with the worldwide "female" reaction to his music?

Is it emotionally profitable to be a sex symbol?

What consequences do you believe being a sex symbol has had on Prince's life as a man?

Do you believe being a sex symbol makes Prince easier to approach as a person or more intimidating to approach?

Please discuss.

I thought of another question to toss around.

Which song do you believe makes more of an impact on Prince being a male sex symbol?

Do Me Baby? or Darling Nikki?

Do Me Baby is my choice, and not because it's release was earlier.

No.

Why would you say No? How could you believe that isn't true?

1. Prince is not a sex symbol whatsoever. A different thing is that some of you want to see him that way.

2. Even if he were, that has nothing to do with musicianship.

Please, don't mix apples and oranges.

I personally believe that the public views Prince as a sex symbol. "Darling Nikki," was the onset of this wider perspective in 1984.

Being sexy is a characteristic that Prince has. When you have that characteristic as well as global attention of your art, it becomes an aspect of a well-rounded person.

This is why "Playboy Playmates," are usually just flat in the public eye. Which of course is different from the "Sex Symbol," appeal of an actress.

Being a sex symbol is a "coat," on a front man's career or it isn't. For example: People may find Kenny Loggins to be sexy, as I do, but he isn't known in the public eye as a sex symbol.

Wow.

Is this the topic that you are attempting to contact him for your professional purposes?

Speculation about Prince being content with womens' reaction to his music...?

I'm sure it's gotten him laid a few times! lol

Emotionally profitable.... that is in interesting concept.

So the definition of profitable is: yielding advantageous returns or results.

I think whether or not the sex symbol receives advantageous emotional results due to their sex symbol status would depend on that individual and whether they have a need for their sexiness to be validated.

I think that any person, whether they are viewed as a sex symbol or not, when they can look at themselves as sexy, it yields advantageous emotional results. When we feel sexy, we feel good.

(grammar edit. I'm kinda anal about that.)

This is a great response. I agree with you, when we feel sexy, we feel good about ourselves...even if we know that being sexy doesn't mean that we could have an enduring relationship with somebody...It helps to open the door to someone's affections.

Being sexy has gotten us all horizontal at some point in our lives. I think that may be more emotionally profitable when you are younger. The older you get the more you realize that devotion is what is sexy in a bedroom.
