I dug it when it came out and I dig it now.
It wasn't on the radio that much.
I don't know why it wasn't a hit. It has a good hook, great vocals and lyrics, and is just a fantastic song overall. I was surprised it didn't do better, especially on the heels of The Most Beautiful Girl in the World. | |

I was living in Mpls at the time this came out and he was doing the late night concerts/parties at P Park. This song shot up my favorites list after I saw him play it live at those shows. Also, there was a rumor going around that he was looking to open another night club and call it Letitgo. This was soon after Glam Slam closed and changed over to Quest. I think the rumor was started because CJ had reported seeing him checking out empty buildings in the warehouse district as well as the then unused amory in downtown Mpls. None of this was ever confirmed by the Prince camp, as far as I know, though. |
