I've heard that Morris reference to the lyric before as well and it could be, but considering when Play In The Sunshine was written and the circumstances around Big Chick's departure - as well as "you call them bodyguards, I call them my friends", I lean towards the Huntsberry theory.

Both Morris and Chick had a nose candy problem, so if the lyric is taken that way, maybe it's just a generalization on Prince's part.
