I recently got footage of a James Brown show (from 1983 apparently) where Mr.JB coaxes MJ to come up onstage to sing a few lines. MJ obliges and does some funky dancing as well. Then MJ whispers to JB and JB tells the audience MJ wants Prince to come up onstage. Prince appears (riding on Chick's back) plays some guitar and gets half undressed and does a James Brown/Mick Jagger dancing/strutting impersonation and a bit of Prince getting horny. He also tries to take over the stage and get the audience to clap. The audience seems a bit displeased with Prince's overt sexuality and arrogance and he jumps off a bit petulantly holding a lamp post that almost crashes on top of a bunch of people.

My questions are:
1. Is this the time JB told MJ to 'watch out' while watching Prince dance? (I thought that was in 1986)
2. What did MJ think of Prince's behaviour onstage?.. his arrogance and disregard for JB seem shocking especially because Prince is such a big fan of the GOddaddy of SOul

P & MJ werent onstage at the same time,jus b4 P came on stage,MJ snuck out.

& i didnt think P looked drunk...it wasnt a huge deal really,just ppl coming up on stage & struttin their stuff,showing off.

b4 he got onstage he threw his gloves 2 the audience and one of the gloves was thrown back at him!!! it seemed as if most of the people hated him...very strange thing he did onstage, but i still think it was very punk and great fun 2 watch...it was funny 2 see james brown with princes jacket on his hands running 2 try 2 get prince when he fell off stage...
